New website for The Collection FAB
We closed April by launching the new site for The Collection FAB — a regional guide to fashion, art and beauty (F for Fashion, A for Art, B for Beauty), focused on seven countries of South-East Europe: Montenegro, Serbia, Albania, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia and Slovenia.
FAB positions itself as a curated selection of the best the region offers — for the local audience and for foreigners discovering this part of the world. It was developed as an extension of The Collection magazine, which has operated in the luxury lifestyle segment for more than 13 years. The Collection’s partner list includes names such as Cartier, Omega, Dior, Rolex, Mercedes, Aman Resorts and One & Only hotels — which gives FAB a publishing platform rarely seen in the region.
The challenge — a site the client cannot work on
The previous version of the FAB site was built in Laravel and had no regular maintenance. That meant two things:
- The client could not edit the content on their own — every update to an article, a brand or a section required development work.
- The site stagnated while the brand itself grew and developed a new strategy (regional focus, an e-shop component, its own digital magazines).
Besides that, part of the content — especially the digital editions of the magazine — is still hosted on third-party services (Issuu), which means every click on a magazine takes the visitor away from the site’s own domain. That is the next thing we plan to deal with.
The solution — moving to the Anart Web platform
The FAB site now runs on the Anart Web platform — a Drupal distribution we develop and maintain at Anart, tailored for publishing and content-rich sites. We kept the existing design and lightly improved it, and the Anart Web foundation now brings:
- Full content editing access through the site’s admin area — no more waiting for the development team to change an article, add a new brand or publish a new section.
- A FAB Store section — an integrated e-commerce component that follows the look and feel of the rest of the site.
- An in-house magazine viewer in the plan — a native display of the magazine’s digital editions on the FAB domain, without sending visitors to third-party services.
- An automated publishing process — every change reaches the site through a proven process, without the manual work that introduces mistakes.
What the client gets
- Self-managed content — editing, adding brands and publishing directly from the admin area, without a development bottleneck.
- Visits stay on their own domain — backlinks, SEO and analytics go to thecollectionfab.com, not to third-party services.
- Branding kept — typography, colours and layout follow the existing brand identity; interventions are minimal and focused on what Anart Web additionally enables.
- No recurring licence fees for platforms Anart Web can replace on its own — own domain, own hosting, own rules.
I chose Anart studio to build the new FAB site on a recommendation. After two months of working together I can say the decision was the right one. Communication is clear and professional, I always know who is doing what and which phase we are in. They keep deadlines and, most important to me, they hear what the client really wants. Zina Pusep
