June 2026 at Anart: sites on faster servers and a new site for Margo Boats
June was about moving and building — we moved client sites to a new server, built a completely new site for Margo Boats, and at the end of the month laid the foundation of the tool our future fast presentation sites will grow from.
The big move — client sites on a new server
The biggest job of the month happened behind the scenes. We moved more than ten client sites from an older server to a new one, with faster hardware and newer software versions — among them Teo Med (opens in a new window), Restoran Contact (opens in a new window), Česká Zbrojovka (opens in a new window), Eco Village Green Heaven (opens in a new window), Nekretnine Budva (opens in a new window) and Estetika Dr. Barović (opens in a new window).
- A move with no downtime — every site was moved by an established procedure, with checks before and after, so visitors noticed nothing.
- Faster loading — the new server carries a more modern version of PHP (the language the sites run on), and Nekretnine Budva (opens in a new window) also got its images in WebP (a modern format that significantly reduces file size) along with the move.
- The small things that pile up — renewed certificates, server notifications redirected so nothing ends up in a void, and a simplified automatic update system.
- Every outage is written down — when something happens on a server, we record what, why and what we changed, so the same problem does not repeat on any client site.
Margo Boats — a new site from first sketch to delivery
For Margo Boats (opens in a new window), a family boat tour business from Bar, we built a site from scratch — from design to going live, all within a month.
- Tours presented the way they deserve — each with a gallery of locations, the boat’s captain and a clear price list; a night tour was added too.
- Real guest reviews instead of generic phrases — trust is built on real impressions.
- An exceptionally fast site — optimised images and fonts, so pages open instantly on a phone and on a weak connection.
- Cookie-free analytics — we measure visits with our own tool that does not follow visitors around the internet, so the site needs no cookie banner.
A new tool in the workshop — the foundation for fast presentation sites
At the end of June we started building our own tool for making fast, simple presentation sites — for projects that do not need the full platform, but a small, exceptionally fast site that is easy to maintain.
- The first site on the new foundation has already begun: Gazdinstvo Popović (opens in a new window), a family farm with home-made products.
- Our own new site grows from the same foundation — the redesign of the anart.studio presentation started on this very tool.
Refreshed themes
- Three client sites got refreshed design themes — Restoran Contact (opens in a new window), Estetika Dr. Barović (opens in a new window) and Crkva Svetog Đorđa (opens in a new window): faster font loading, better text contrast and small visual polish.
