April 2026 at Anart: more reliable hosting and more freedom in design
April was a month of finishing what we had started and laying the groundwork for what comes next: both the hosting platform and Anart Web gained new capabilities.
Our servers — more reliable hosting
In April we worked on making the hosting of client sites clearer and safer:
- Backup overview per site — on our internal dashboard we now see right away which site has which retention policy and whether the client has access to their own backups
- Security hardening — better protection against intrusion attempts and more stable security monitoring services
- Smarter automatic updates — we limited when they run and how long they may take, so an update can no longer block work for hours
Anart Web — new layouts and images that are not cropped
Our site-building tool got four major versions (1.9, 1.10, 1.11 and 1.12) and one quick fix — five releases in a month. The focus was on content layout and design flexibility.
New layouts and content controls
- A new three-column layout with smart behaviour on phones and tablets.
- The “2-3-6” responsive layout — the same content arranges itself differently depending on screen size.
- A horizontally scrolling breadcrumb with an elegant fade effect — it no longer breaks on small screens.
- A new group of heading styles — more consistency across the whole site.
Images done right
- Smarter card aspect ratio with focal point support — the important part of the image is no longer cropped away.
- Automatic cleanup of surplus images when WebP conversion is used — the site no longer piles up unnecessary files.
More control over “Read more”
- The “Read more” button now has detailed options — you choose how and when it appears.
Behind the scenes
- A big CSS modernisation — more and more things (spacing, colours, layout gutters) now change from one place. That means faster and cheaper design adaptation to client brands.
April in one sentence: more power behind the scenes, more flexibility in design, more reliability in everyday work.
